For example, places like Sketch (London), Hidden Hour (Seoul) and The Standard Hotel (Bangkok) have inspired me immensely when it comes to designing Chez Vous: Private Space – our latest concept hair salon. During my travels, I always make it a point to visit sites that are recommended by the locals for their absurd designs. Good Design: I am always attracted to good and unique designs. ![]() Restaurant wise (for now), 80/20 Eighty Twenty.Ĥ. My top recommendation for fashion is Theatre Bangkok. This city inspires me constantly – from the dining and art scene to the interior and fashion designs. I am always surprised by how dynamic the place is. I travel to Bangkok once every four months for the past 12 years, and it (still) never fails to amaze me. Bangkok: I am a half (self-proclaimed) Bangkokian – I guess. Can’t wait!įrom left: PAPAYA Design Furniture & Studio (Bangkok) and Tattoo Lounge at The Siam Hotel (Bangkok).ģ. My plan for next year is definitely to go to New Zealand. I have been to Prekestolen (Norway), Jungfrau Region (Switzerland), Jeju (South Korea) and Dolomites Region (Italy). Now, I travel once a year simply to hike. Many ideas I had for the business were “generated” after a hike. Hiking keeps my mind away from distractions. ![]() But, my travel to the Faroe Islands changed everything. I used to love cities – London, Tokyo and Seoul. Hiking: I never would have thought that someone who’s a couch potato like myself would fall in love with hiking. Yes, it is that beautiful.įrom left, Hiking in Jeju (South Korea), Hiking in Jungfrau Region (Switzerland), and Hiking in Prekestolen (Norway).Ģ. But, from the moment you step out of the Faroe Islands’ airport, everywhere you look is an attraction. Most countries require us to move from one attraction to the other. My number one travel destination (as of now), is definitely the Faroe Islands, hands down. The aim here is to exploit the limited range of motion by holding the band at its lowest, most tense point for 5 seconds per rep.Besides keeping myself happy, travelling enables me to see things from a different perspective, especially at times when I am faced with a creative block. Rising up so he's in a kneeling position again, Teo demonstrates the third and final move in the workout, a straight-arm pulldown. He continues the exact same pulling motion in a lat pulldown variation, but as his body is in a lower position, the band pulls closer to his chest, creating a mechanical dropoff in the tension, allowing him to perform more reps. "As I pull in, the elastic tension increases, and my lats have to work very very hard in the shortened position." He recommends using enough tension in the band that you'll reach failure at the 6 to 8 rep count.įrom there, Teo goes directly into the second move, supporting his weight on his knees and one arm, keeping hold of the band. "This start with training the lats in their weakest position of flexion," says Teo. By pulling the elbow back and down towards the side of the body, you can use the band's tension to overload the lats' shortened position. ![]() ![]() Loop the band around your wrist to secure your grip at the other end, then lower into a kneeling/lunge position for this variation of a seated cable row. For the first move, start by anchoring the band around something sturdy like a post or tree.
